Coworking Takeover Challenge™
Are you ready to reposition your community for the future?
Coworking Takeover Challenge™
The Workforce you want, the Residents you want, the Economy you want, are all fuelled by the Community You Build!

Do you want to utilize all of the untapped potential you know your community has, and grow something that could positively impact your community for a long time?

What's Coworking?
What would it mean to you to have coworking options in your community?
For everyone it's different...

For Remote Workers, Freelancers, or Entrepreneurs, they may be feeling isolated working from home, and it would mean being able to collaborate with other remote workers while connecting with community.

59% of Remote Workers who participated in the Challenge reported experiencing feelings of loneliness and isolation occasionally, with 13% reporting that they experience feelings of loneliness and isolation most of the time.
For Downtown Businesses, it might mean an opportunity to turn under-utilized space into money-making space.
Challenge Business participants described their current business activity - 32% stated that they have too little business while 26% said their main reason for participating in the Challenge was to explore a potential new income source.
For Community Leaders, it would mean being able to connect with and attract more independent professionals into their community while engaging an entirely new workforce (Freelancers will make up more than 50% of the entire workforce within the decade).
35% of Challenge Participants reported that they have been working as freelancers for only 1-3 years while 20% reported working as freelancers for less than 1 year. The top 3 services they reported needing in a coworking facility are: #1 High Speed Internet, #2 Desk Space, and #3 Meeting Space.

Are you looking for a high impact project that you can run this year?

Here's how the 30-Day Challenge works...
The 30-day challenge culminates in a Coworking Takeover Week™ where business owners and anyone with under-utilized space transform it into coworking space for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and remote workers for one week.

The first 3 weeks of the challenge are all about community outreach and education - what coworking is, what the challenge is, why it's important, and how to get involved.

The 4th week is the Coworking Takeover Week™ itself where freelancers, entrepreneurs, and remote workers are in the community enjoying all of the newly available coworking spaces and services.

What's the Coworking Challenge?
Challenge Facilitator Training and Certification Program
Before you plan and run your Challenge you will participate in a weeklong Facilitator Training Program that will certify you to run the Challenge. (IN YOUR TIME ZONE) Not only will this training give you the skills and confidence to run the Coworking Takeover Challenge, but it will also give you the tools and knowledge to coordinate and lead ANY community project. The training is not a one-off investment: it's a leadership opportunity that will benefit your community for years to come.

Your Challenge Toolkit Will Have Everything You Need For Success During Your 30 Days
When you run the Coworking Takeover Challenge™ you'll get access to our toolkit with video lessons, email scripts, social media scripts, press releases checklists, slide decks, and much much more. (Every single document you'll need to run the event)

Support During the Challenge
Just because you've had the training and you've been given all of the tools and resources necessary to run the Challenge doesn't mean that you'll be left without support during the Challenge month. We're in this together! You'll have Q & A online support from Rural On Purpose throughout the Challenge.

One more thing...
What Comes Next After The 30 Days?
The Coworking Takeover Challenge™ will come and go in just 30 days, but the development doesn't end there! You've worked hard to identify freelancers, remote workers, and home-based business owners in your community and you've introduced coworking spaces as a new opportunity to your business community...now you need to keep that momentum going by supporting them.
A facilitated Lessons Learned and Next Steps Session by Rural on Purpose
after the Coworking Takeover Week™
The end of the Challenge is just the Beginning! We will schedule a facilitated session after the Challenge to help you assess the Desirability, Feasibility and Viability of Coworking in your community and create a roadmap for further development

Would you like to connect with the freelancers, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and home-based business workers in your community?

The Coworking Takeover Challenge is different
The Coworking Takeover Challenge™ is NOT just some "course" that you'll never use...

It combines the right industry KNOWLEDGE...

With the plan, resources, and system you need to IMPLEMENT...

The support you need to DELIVER...

AND the local expertise to STRENGTHEN your newly established ecosystem.

What's one of the biggest challenges with new initiatives?

It's almost NEVER a lack of knowledge that's the problem - It's a lack of Execution and Follow-up!

Would you like to help make your community the destination of choice for freelance and remote work professionals?

This Challenge is NOT for everyone!
If you want to include the Challenge in your Strategic Plan, take the training and say,
"Thanks; that was great infoand never actually do anything with it,
that's entirely up to you.

(But chances are, nothing will actually change in your community.
If that's what you want to do, then this challenge is probably not for you.)

But...

If you are willing to roll up your sleeves and do some work...

If you want to be trained and supported by the Challenge team and have them lead you in the right direction...

Then we invite you to accept the Coworking Takeover Challenge™, introduce coworking options into your community, and start creating momentum as you build a Freelance and Remote Friendly community.
A reminder of what you get...

Why book a call?
This may be our first conversation but our goal is to build a relationship as we collectively commit to growing and supporting a freelance/remote work ecosystem in your community.
We want to ensure:

1. Your goals are aligned with ours (to introduce, or build on, sustainable coworking options in your community)

2. You understand your commitment (Challenge Facilitation Training must be completed before running the Challenge)

3. You have a Challenge Leadership Team in place (community
development is a team effort, after all),

4. You have High Speed Internet (an absolute must!)

5. There is no duplication in your region - no-one else is scheduled to run the Challenge.

6. It's a good fit for both of us! (We will be working closely with you throughout the entire process - facilitator training, Challenge month, and post-challenge support)

***If you can not meet during the booking times, please email Mary Doyle (CEO, Rural on Purpose) at mary@ruralonpurpose.com for other options. We don't want to miss having this important conversation.
Here is an example of the type of information you'll learn about
